NOTE: there seems to be a problem with the home theme metrics, a parse error in ScreenGraphicOptionsBasic::Line8. If you run into this, just go into Themes/home/metrics.ini and change "LineNames=1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8" to "LineNames=1,2,3,4,5,6,7" under [ScreenGraphicOptionsBasic].

Attention, Windows users: If you're using Vista and UAC is enabled, you should install this into your Documents instead of Program Files, or you may run into problems.

The OpenITG project is working on an open-source StepMania binary that can replicate all aspects of the In The Groove arcade systems, including (but in no way limited to):

Loading custom songs
Encrypted arcade data loading
Patch functionality
ITGIO/PIUIO input and lights functionality

The final version will be an OpenITG binary that can be used in place of the proprietary ITG binary on In The Groove arcade machines. As the source code is available, you will also be able to make your own changes to this binary, or simply port features into other StepMania builds. smile

I can't give an exact date, but sometime within the next two weeks is a given. I'd like to get alpha 7 out before the U.K. trip I have planned for early-to-late July.

You can also download the source code (compilable files are always available) at http://reenigne.ath.cx/svn/ - get a SVN client, like TortoiseSVN or something else, and you can always keep up-to-date with the latest source changes. smile

find us more testing locations. By now, we don't care if it's a dedicab or an upgrade kit, as we'd like to tweak one (PIUIO) and actually fix the other (ITGIO).
